I used Green Eyes by Coldplay. Im not sure how helpful that is though... lol
The instrumental to "Suraj Hua Madham" from the movie, Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham is great for a first dance and blending it into the Bhangra beats would be beautiful.
Good luck!

Hey Everyone --
I am looking for a first dance song. I'm American (dutch grandparents) and my fiance is Indian / Punjabi (family still lives in Pune) and we're trying to come up with ways to blend east and west. For the first dance song we were planning to do a traditional song, but are thinking of fading it halfway through into a bhangra song. So far the front runner for the western song is Seal's Kiss from a Rose but we only want to do about two minutes. Any ideas of a song that has a cool intro or instrumental section we could use to 'fade in' - something that starts slow but then gets more lively and fun? Any other ideas? I'm not too attached to the Seal song but am having trouble finding first dance songs that I connect with.
Thanks,
Christene
