It sounds more like what's on the movie then the original song from the 90's. However, Edwin sings it...I think it sounds nice, though!
I think you should maybe look for a karoake version. Just make sure it doesn't have any background vocals!
@mrsv2be: but do u hear the difference in the version i posted and your version? in the one i found theres violin or something and other wonderful noises

is it not available on itunes or amazon's mp3s?
you could also download free software like Audacity and fix the settings so that it records what is being played out of the computer's speakers, then play the youtube video and get the audio from there.
@bananagirl: nope cant find it. i cuold do that but the one on youtube is only a minnute or so long

It's probably not what you are looking for, but the only really instrumental one I could find was by the vitamin string quartet. If you want to listen to it, just google the vitamin string quartet. =)
I love it too but I read somewhere that the string quartet version was done as a movie score only and that its not available. I guess the producers cut out some of the words and got into some heat for it from mccain. If you do find it somewhere I would love to get a copy too!

so when watching a cinderella story (silly, i know) i heard an acoustic version of Ill Be by edwin mccain and i fell in love with it. i have searched every where and i mean every where and cant find it.
i read somewhere that at the last minute the song was changed without edwin mccains permission or something so thats why t he song is impossible to find or soemthing..i dont know but i must have it!!
i would be eternally greatful if anyone knew where to find it
please help
