We're using "One Boy, One Girl" by Colin Raye. It's my fiance's favorite and he said even during the 5 years we were not together, the song always made him think of me. We were debating on "Steady as We Go" by Dave Matthews Band but decided to use it as our Last Song instead. That one (steady as we go) single handedly got me through his 8 month deployment with the Navy and is an extremely important song to me so I figure I'll do an intro to it and a final thank you to everyone for coming.
Better Together by Jack Johnson is our first dance song, but we were also considering Come Fly With Me or Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra

I want "Faithfully" by Journey. I think the lyrics fit us perfectly since we have spent so much time apart during his two combat tours in Iraq. My fiance, on the other hand, really wants "White Wedding" by Billy Idol. At least we're in the same decade ;-)
While I had previously decided on "My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw after deciding that I didn't want to do our technical song of "When You Say Nothing At All" in any of it's incarnations....now I'm leaning more toward the short but quirkily sweet "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson (think the Old Navy sweater commercials of the past winter).
That's funny, OnlySupernova, because I *LOVE* that Ingrid Michaelson song too. We want non-traditional songs for our ceremony and we're toying with the idea of using that song as our processional down the isle! It's an outdoor wedding, and basically, we want it all to be fun.
That said, we are disagreeing about our first dance song. I would love "The Way You Look Tonight" (I love the Tony Bennett version). He wants something funny, like a tv theme song from the 80s (some are surprisinging heart-felt). Although I do think that it would be cool to rock "Forever" but not the Beach Boys version, but the Jesse and the Rippers (from Full House) version... remember the wedding??? It would be funny to see the looks on our guests faces as they realized. So we'll see!

We are dancing to Steady As We Go, it's been our song since the cd came out. I had it engraved on FH's wedding band.
Mine's "That, For Me, is You" by Jim Boggia, an indie singer/songwriter from Philadelphia. I also had a line from the song engraved on FH/s band. :)

Although after listening to the Sarah McGlauglin Song "Push" a lot of you had great things to say about in a post a few weeks back - we're really lovin' that too!!!
"For Once in my Life" hense the user name ;) I like the Temptations version best.
We're also going with "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds. I really wanted "When You Say You Love Me" by Josh Groban but the fiance and I both like Ben Folds and he'd never heard the Josh Groban song so we chose Ben.

First Dance will prob be to "Someone like you" by Van Morrison, I wanted "Grow old with you" from the Wedding Singer but FI wants our first dance to be serious :P
Last Dance will be to "The long day is over" by Norah Jones
It was "At Last " Etta James, It fit us since we had been together for 7 years when we got married. We knew it was kind fo funny, but also sweet.
