Secret Confession: What made me think of this post was Elton John "Blessed" was playing on the radio at my work and I secretly LOVE that song!! (though I would not make it a first dance song ;)
We were going to use "Then" by Brad Paisley - then changed our minds two weeks before the wedding! Now we are using "Feels like Home" by Chantal :)

I was at a wedding recently where "Blessed" was the mother/son dance, so cute.
Our first dance is "Love of a Lifetime" by Firehouse - nothing like a monster ballad to get the party rockin!
Ours is "I'd Love to be Your Last" by Clay Walker.
Since i'm an encore, this song has special meaning for me. You can read the lyrics HERE.
I think we're doing "Let Your Love Flow" by the Bellamy Brothers. We both love old country and I don't want a slow sappy song and this one is just perfect and I can totally picture us twirling around having fun!

We didn't have a song, but when we heard this one, we knew it was the one because it made us both cry.
We were going to use "Fly Me To The Moon" (Frank Sinatra of course!) but then we realized we hate dancing :P So we didn't do a first dance.

I'm back....that's beautiful. The beat is faster, so it kind of depends on how fast you want to dance. Can you use that song maybe for your parents to come in?

Ours will be "you and me" by Dave Matthews band. It reminded us so much of our relationship from the day it was released and brings back so many great memories for us.
This was such a hard decision for us. It was difficult to find a song that was slow enough that he felt comfortable dancing to, but not a complete snooze and still had awesome lyrics. I finally stumbled upon it one day... "This kind of love" by Sister Hazel... I'd never heard it before, but instantly fell in love with it!
Ours is The Night Will Go As Follows by Spill Canvas. It's long, but we both love it. :)

We used Amazed by lonestar. I was a little scared people would think we were cheesy since I thought it was such an overused song. Turns out a lot of people had never heard it and the people that had said that it was so more meaningful once you hear it at a wedding. Everyone loved it!
Ours is Into the Mystic by Van Morrison. It's a little jazzy so hopefully we can do something besides just sway back and forth.
