If you could get a bigger pic of the one you made, I bet we could provide more feedback. But, from the pic you have, I think it looks good – and it does look round to me. I like that you used different colors, instead of one solid color.

Do you have a link to that specific DIY project? I looked at the blog but didn’t see it – would love to know how you made it! 🙂

I think they look great!  I am SO not crafty, I admire you for even attempting something like that!

I think those look really good, and thanks for the link!

If you think they need to look more “rose-like” (I think they do look like roses already), maybe make the flowers with more “layers”, and maybe a bit smaller?
I think they do look circular – really, I think they look really, really good! Especially for a first attempt!

I think it’s really good..especially since it’s a first attempt.

I think the main difference is that the “roses” in the tutorial have a tighter roll which makes them look more like rose buds. Yours have a looser roll which makes them look more like roses in full bloom…if that makes sense. I would suggest more layers and a tighter roll.

I think those will look really good lining the aisle.

I think yours looks great!  I made one a few weeks ago for my flowergirl to carry.  Sorry for the bad pic, in real life it doesn’t look so much like a bunch of squished up tissue paper, but I can’t seem to get a clear pic of it for some reason.  Anyway, I am really happy with the way it came out.  I definately made mine pretty tight, I was worried they were too tight but they seemed to work.  She’ll only be a year and a half by the wedding so the pomander is pretty small, I started off with a 4 inch styrofoam ball.

I think you are being way hard on yourself, your pomander looks awesome! More posts like this and I’m going to end up trying to DIY something myself!

They look great! What a cool idea. How much tissue paper did it take?
