Ahhhh! I have my first doctor’s appt this afternoon at 2:15. I am excited because I think this will FINALLY make it feel real. I’m going in armed with my embarrassing type A word document full of bullet pointed questions and a print out of my chart even though it’s totally confusing, and I’ve heard most OBGYNs don’t really know much about charting. After the doc says everything is ok, DH and I have decided to start telling a more close friends so that will make it feel more real too…
Any questions that I might not be thinking about to ask? I literally have afull page of questions, but you never know 🙂 Good thing my doctor is patient 🙂

How far along are you? It’s funny because we just found out and I feel like I should have questions but I don’t! 🙁

@loveroflove: I feel the same way! I haven’t done a bit of research – I am trying to go with the flow. I feel like the more I research into what to expect – it will give me anxiety if I am not experiencing this or that like it says I should be!
Good luck with your first appointment! Let us know – mine isn’t until June 29th and it’s just an OB history appointment. Boring!

I totally agree, I’m the type of person that likes to know EVERYTHING there is to know about something and I can kind of obsess and worry about it. Sometimes knowledge isn’t good!!! I’m trying to just enjoy as well but I’m really nervous, especially about the next few months and the nausea thing.. I am a photographer so I’m worried that if I’m at a 12 hour wedding and I’m ill the whole time, it might not be so hot. Just hoping that it is manageable. I went to the doc yesterday who confirmed it but then had to book with the ‘maternity clinic’ and they can’t get me in until July 24 for prenatal bloodwork which seems so long to me, but she told me that there isn’t much to do between now and then and if I had questions or concerns to call back or book with my regular doctor.
Were you guys TTC for a long time?

My questions are just mostly what should/shouldnt I be eating. If you follow some of these sites you cant eat anything!! I want to know how my specific dr feels about coffee, tofu, sushi, less than well done meat, a glass of champagne at a wedding, etc.
Is my prenatal ok? Should I be switching up my beauty care products to more natural things? Which OTC drugs are ok? Should I get an x-ray at the dentist next week or ask them to skip it? When will I stop being SO BLOATED, haha. etc etc.
Nothing ground breaking..just want to talk to a real person about some of this stuff besides Dr. Google 🙂
@loveroflove: no, we got pregnant our first month of trying which was just absolutely shocking to me for some reason.

@Rose120 It shocks me too!! It was our first month trying and I had it in my head that it would take quite some time, so I’m very pleasantly surprised.
Those are all great questions… I can’t help with any of them! Except my dentist did tell me that they would skip the x-ray unless they really needed it but they would put two vests on and they don’t think it has any affect, but still! I’m actually excited to have a year off of the dentist!! 🙂
