Last night I had my first fitting and was finally able to try the dress on with all my accessories as she has lived at my FMIL’s since I got her. Everything looks so perfect and I just love, love, love her more and more everytime I put her on!!! The seamstress is going to have to alter it significantly shorter and put in a bustle but that’s it… unless I loose weight. She says I’m already bordering on the dress being too big (I didn’t understand this until she showed me how wide the corset lacing should be), not sure how I’m going to pull this off training for a half marathon starting next week! Eek! Thankfully she’s an extremely affordable seamstress. Best part? She’s going to be able to make a yellow tie for me to swap out the white with for the reception!!!
Ok enough of my rambling, here’s the pics, I forgot to get a pic of the dress un-bustled though. Boo.
My FI’s jaw is going to drop to the floor when he sees this! Eek I get butterflies just thinking about that moment!!!

@lisha_1988: She said that usually corsets lace up more as a “v” than mine is, she is concerned that she has to lace it up so tight that it looses that effect. If she took it in some, then the lacing would be wider and more distinct. Does that make sense?

Half marathon training probably won’t make you lose enough weight to change dress sizes. I am training for a marathon and run 30mpw and pretty much have a stable weight. Just make sure to fuel your runs properly – losing while training once you’re already at a health weight is usually not that positive of a thing.
