You have a beautiful shape (hello, hourglass!!) and the right dress will make you feel amazing! I’m a plus sized gal myself (as well as super short) and only had one dress zip up on me as well. I was dreading the whole process, and did not have a great time trying on dresses, but the final look on the day was so worth the frustration!!

@MUAbride2be:  I was engaged and planning a wedding 8 years ago. I was living in a city where I knew nobody besides my co-workers and my at-the-time FI. I was a size 18. The first time I went dress-shopping was at DB and he actually came along with me because, well, I had nobody else for support.

I was feeling like how you seem to feel, I’m too big, nothing will fit, all of that. The dresses that I had looked at on their website (and had emailed to my mom 1000 miles away) that I thought I would like,  looked awful on me.

I probably tried on about 10 dresses that day, some…eh…not so bad, but not so good. I KNEW that I didn’t want a strapless dress…even though I loved how they looked. But I told myself that I was too big to wear a strapless.

After my DB girl had brought me all of the dresses I “thought” would look good on me (but didn’t), I was feeling very sad and told FI that I wanted to leave. My DB girl said Hey, I know you are against strapless, but I keep thinking about this one for you.

She brought it into the fitting room and even before I had it pinned and all, I JUST KNEW that it was MY dress. It was PERFECT on me.

I didn’t even show it to my FI, I just called her into the fitting room and THIS IS THE ONE. He asked if he could see it, I said No, I don’t like it. ๐Ÿ˜‰ THAT was the dress I loved and the one I bought.

The numbers on your Size tag DO NOT MATTER, what matters is the dress YOU feel Beautiful wearing. Just keep trying on, I have friends that are higher-size numbers than you, and they have looked AMAZING at their weddings.

DO NOT GIVE UP!!!! <3

@MUAbride2be:  Something I kept telling myself is that I was fat when we met, fat when he fell in love with me, fat when he proposed, damnit why should my wedding day be different?! Now, don’t get me wrong, I tried (not very hard) to lose a little weight and ended up losing about 10-15 pounds, but I’ve never felt more beautiful than I did on that day… the look on my hubby’s face the first time he saw me convinced me that I am beautiful no matter my size.

Please, keep us updated on the dress journey!!! I can’t wait to see what you pick!

@MUAbride2be:  Honestly, your body looks GREAT in that dress, even if you don’t love it. You don’t need to be a size 2 to look beautiful as many a Bee will tell you. Find what makes YOU feel beautiful, and I have no doubt that you will!!!

@MUAbride2be:  dont give up it will happen! I tried on so many dresses and just felt.. fat. i didnt feel anything i tried no matter if it was a $99 from db or a 6000 dress from a boutique. what finally got me feeling better was i stopped going to a shop looking for “the dress” go in with an open mind and try on dresses to find elements that you love and elements that you dont. i did this and was able to piece together in my mind what the dress i wanted was and started looknig online. I actually ended up finding my ideal oh my god dress off of creigslist and i could not be happier. though it was often times really disheartening at time to try on dresses and not feel exactly beautiful it was a great learning experiance and helped me KNOW what the dress for me was.  i knwo im going to have to loose a little weight after this baby  is born to fit in the dress again but  i plan on going back on ACE suppliments and rocking my size 22 self in my awesome dress

so keep your head up and keep pressing on you will find your dream dress and dont be afriad to look outside the traditional places for it ๐Ÿ™‚

btw you have a great figure dont be afraid to show it off!

@bbsoon2be:  Soooo TRUE!!!! We all need to remember that, and NOT what the tag on our clothing reads.
