So, I have no idea about rings. Apart from I may like to try looking for antique rings. Are they more expensive than buying something modern?
Also do people tend to spend just as much on rings these days or is it ok to keep costs down and think practically of all the other things you need money for?
Oh, and what are popular cuts/shapes of rings – if that’s the right word!
Feeling a little bit daunted, but excited!!

These questions can only be answered I guess by getting out there and having a browse. It’s very exciting going round and trying on all different styles, you will be surprised at how well one cut could suit you and another doesn’t, even if you expect something to!
Good luck, and don’t feel daunted! By the way, antique rings can be cheaper but also more expensive than new. Again it all depends on the diamond/stone/the metal/the carats etc. It’s all relative and there probably not much difference in it these days, apart from that it’s secondhand.

Best way to keep costs down is to find a wholesaler! My fiance’s family does wholesale jewelry, we are able to get stones or have bands custom made any way you want for a fraction of big stores. If you knew how much the stones and bands ACTUALLY cost- it would make you sick.
A friend’s fiance as quoted around 30k for the ring he wanted at Jared- we had his made for 12.5k with the exact same quality diamond and copy band.
