Bees,

I had my first fitting today, and I was so surprised at how I looked in my dress.  I ordered my dress 3 months ago, and have been dieting.  I've done pretty well.  I've lost about 30 pounds since last summer, and about 12 since ordering the dress.  The dress came in and is big, but the boning is so stiff, that you cant see me smaller underneath it.  I all but had a meltdown in the salon.  I feel a little bad about the seamstress, who didnt speak alot of english, and told my consultant that the dress was fitted to my body yet, and that she didnt think I knew what she was doing.  I was there with my MIL to be, stepmother, father and my future aunts.  Big crowd to witness my meltdown and fear that the dress made me look wider than I actually am.  i was a little mad that I didnt order a size down (the sample size looks much better on me), but the sample size was a bit small in the boobs, and I wanted to make sure the girls were adequately covered. 

Sorry about the ramble, but I am just curious, has anyone else had this experience?  I seriously am now afraid the boning, which was once my slenderizing best friend, has turned into a terrible curse that is going to make me look wider than I am on my wedding day.
