- Wedding: December 2012
I just had my first fitting today. I went with the blingy shoes as most of the bees suggested. Although the shoes are really pretty, I’m not totally totally convinced. Good thing it’s so versatile I know I can wear it again if not in the wedding.
It’s just now, for some reason, I’m not so excited about the dress. After seeing my dress again, I saw that it IS pretty. But I don’t know. I guess, I’m posting this now to try and figure out why.
It’s a sample that just came from the cleaners, so it was just a couple of month ago when I last saw it. The beading is still so pretty, but the skirt seems ragged. I was assured though that it looks like I had just ordered it. The seamstress didn’t know that it was a sample. She’s going to add cups, which gave me cleavage, a bit too much I think but the seamstress said that’s how it’s supposed to be. She will be putting in darts because the top of the bodice is a little big on me, plus hemming and a 5-point bustle. There were parts of the skirt that seemed like the pick ups came loose, but she said that’s how it looked like for another bride that she did a fitting with. There were points that she noticed where the flowers or feathers/leaves fell off and a couple of tears near the train. She said she will fix those and put in flowers and leaves from the bottom so I shouldn’t worry. And I’m not worried about those, which is weird. I guess I just felt indifferent about it.
Now I’m home, I guess I just was expecting to be really excited about it again. Is it just me or is this normal? I didn’t even take pictures 🙁
