Eek! Looks like we didn’t catch you before your fitting. How did it go?! 🙂

One thing to ask is the price of the bustle. See if they charge by the point or for the entire thing. The last thing you want is an ill-placed bustle, especially if you have a long train.

Also, don’t be afraid to say exactly what you want. This is your money and your wedding gown. Don’t be a bitch about it, but if you see a single thread out of place, say something.

Also, it’s too late (and your mom is paying) but DB charges WAY more than most places.

@icanhearyousmile:  Oh no! You poor thing! Did you still love your dress? I bet your momma would do anything to make you happy!

My dress was pretty heavy too, and it had four bustles.

@icanhearyousmile:  So glad to hear you loved it! Yeah I had a pretty full skirt but my train wasn’t super long, so you probably have so many different little bustle points in order to get all of your train bustled up. 🙂

And you won’t faint day of….but definitely make sure you don’t forget to eat lunch on your wedding day (and maybe even a snack, depending on when your ceremony is) and definitely stayed hydrated. 🙂 It’s really easy for brides to forget those two essentials, which can lead to feeling a little faint as it is!

@icanhearyousmile:  Ahh! We had sandwiches (Panera) delivered to our church (where we were getting ready) before photos. We wanted to make sure the bride and groom PLUS the bridal party were all happy and fed.

Even if you can’t eat much…definitely eat something! Breakfast, maybe? Trust me, I understand the nerves.

Do you know who is going to be bustling your dress on your wedding day? One thing to remember is to make sure that that person (your mom, your MOH, whoever) comes with you to a fitting once your bustle is done to learn how to actually do it!

11 is NOTHING compared to 26 bustles! ahaha

I almost fainted the first day I found my dress, and then the 1st fitting!  I was so overwhelmed and I didn’t like all the attention on me, I guzzled water! Bring water every fitting! I always brought a snack too!

@icanhearyousmile:  Oh great! That’ll be really helpful to have her there!

Nibbling works too. We also had fruit for everyone between photos and the ceremony. Light but still helped!

@BellaDee:  26! Wow.
