Today I had my first fitting with the seamstress. I was incredibly nervous since I have gained a couple pounds from the time since I purchased the dress. I am hoping I can shed a few of the unwanted pounds before the big day. Initially I had thought I was going to add more of a sweetheart neckline to the dress, but with the extra weight, I think I am going to leave to top as is because I am worried it will give me too much cleavage. I am wearing the bolero for the ceremony and having the belt sewed onto the dress. What do you think bees? Am I right for keeping the current neckline?

@happyheartbee: Oh my that is a beautiful gown!!!! I love th neckline as is. It’s a slight sweetheart, I had the same kind. I love the bolero on too! It’s just stunning on your little frame!

What a gorgeous dress!!! I love the neckline the way it is. You are very slender – I don’t know where you are hiding the so-called extra pounds!!

@happyheartbee: Lose more pounds?! Why?! I don’t see any “extra” pounds. The dress is lovely. I prefer it with out the bolero. Perhaps you can wear it for the ceremony and take it off for the reception.

Oh. My. Goodness. I LOVE that bolero, it’s SO PRETTY! Haha, I honestly would keep the neckline the way it is because it looks great.
Don’t be so hard on yourself about the weight. You look fantastic.

I can look up the dress number when I get home. The bolero amd belt were purchased at a different bridal salon. The model picture on the davids bridal website does not do it justice. Thank you ladies for all the sweet comments!
The seamstress is moving the snaps that close the panel behind the corset out further because they wouldnt close. I was relieved that the dress fit as well as it did.

@BrandNewBride: What dress did you end up getting? I’d love to see pictures! This was actually my second dress. I had chosen a one shoulder Oleg Cassini but couldn’t get this dress out of my head! Im so glad I made the switch.
