    Here is my original post:

I'm so excited! I have lost 26 pounds since I bought my dress and I bought her a size too small so I can't wait to see how she fits!!

Ok. I hate to say this but I'm sooo not in love with my dress.

I mean, I like it. It will work. I don't hate it. There are just so many things I wish I could change and the things I am changing are going to cost me another $700!!!

My appt kinda sucked too. It was super busy and it's a small little shop. I brought my daughter and they didn't even acknowledge her. There are only 2 fitting rooms so after waiting 15 minutes past my appt they get me in. When I came out my daughter stood up to see me and 3 girls sat down where she had been sitting. My purse and her phone were still there! Now she had no where to sit for the 30 plus minutes that it took for the seamstress to look over my dress. I asked to try on veils because I had yet to and they acted like it was an inconvenience and only brough me two that were nothing like I said I wanted. Sorry. End rant.

So here are some pics. It is too small now. Especially in the hips.  So that's good. I mean yay me I lost some weight. :)

The hips need to be taken in and I am having an off shoulder bolero/crop top with back button closure made out the same material as the skirt minus the lace appliques.

Here are the before pics in the same dress. (I bought the sample)

i'm sorry you had such a bad experience with alterations but if its any consolation you look fantastic and that dress is perfect for you! you look like a completely different person in those pictures.  I Love it.

did you leave the dress there? maybe you could find a different place to take it? either way its worth the alterations.

    @totheislnds: Thank you!

Yes. I left the dress there.  The top that I'm having made is costing me about $400. The alterations on the dress around $300 so that seems about right.

The top I am having made for modesty. (FI's family is Morman)

Oh, I'm sorry to hear your appointment was disappointing. That just sucks - it should be a wonderful and exciting time! That said, your dress is STUNNING! And you look so beautiful in it - I can't believe how much weight you've lost. You look amazing! Also, lowering the back will do worlds of good when it comes to that "back fat." I'm sure you don't actually have any back fat, but those high backs squeeze whatever we have up to that top, and it never looks great. My dress had a low back, and there was no hit of the dreaded "back fat," so I was one happy bride. :)

I think you look absolutely radiant - I wish you did like it more but you could not look any more beautiful!!  So excited but wish you had a better experience.

If it does make you feel any better the alterations for my two gowns cost more than the two gowns cost combined $1900 - I have a very narrow back given the size of my boobs and so they have to unmake the tops and move the boning to take it in.

It is all worth it to have this much fun and definitely another chance at happily ever after!

Lord you are rocking that dress!!!!

Are you kidding? You look beautiful in that dress! I think maybe you need a little jewelry and veil for the full effect and you may fall in love with it all over again. I love the modesty top you're having made, but $400 seems pretty steep for somethign like that!

WOW you look amazing!!!! I hope that the 18 ive lost looks that great next week when I get measured for mine (im still deciding on what size to order...) the dress looks so majestic on you and your smaller frame really lets the dress shine but not outshine you! stop once youve found it and girl youve found it!

Oh wow you guys! I am truly humbled by all your responces. Thank you.

The more I look at the new pics the more I like it. It's growning on me so to speak.

@sexxysheddy:  I have been doing a very low carb no soda diet. You know...the kind that when you start eating again you gain it all back and then some. Undecided I'm basically not eating any processed food. A lot of water. Small glass of milk per day and somethines a couple of sips of orange juice with my eggs. A lot of apples at least one a day sometimes two.

I eat eggs, cheese, fruit, a little veggies, a little fish, chicken, beef and pork.

I do cheat and have like one or two hershey's kisses per day or a spoonfull of peanut butter and go out for sushi rolls on the weekends, an occasional burger or mexican food but I mostly stick to it. I found after a while if I venture off the diet my stomach get very upset (gassey ect.)

I haven't been exercising (cuz I hate to) but I hope to add in some walking, crunches and arm weights to try and tone up a little. Whew! Sorry this is so long but hey, You asked! :)

honestly, you look amazing!  I love the dress and congrats on your weight loss.  You can really see a difference in the pics (not that you weren't beautiful before)

I would definitely complain to the manager of the store about how badly you were treated.

@soontobebyrdy:  I am going to call or email the shop soon and let then know how dissapointed I was and how it felt like I was an inconvenience to them. I'm hoping that was a rare day and they were just swanped. (I do give second chances but not thirds) So if it continues I will be contacting you for your seamstresses #. Thank you.

Edit~ Oops. I just realized that I said "it's too small now" In my first post. I meant it's too big. LOL like 4 inches to big in the hips alone. Squeal!

@GroovyHippieChick:  Thanks, Yeah. I need to call or email. The problem is I'm usually too nice even when I complain. I think I'm to chicken to call so I'll probably just email.

@SugerPlum:  Thank you. I hope so. The top may cost a little over $400. The seamstress is charging me $350 to make it and I have to order the fabric from Maggie Sottero. I think they said around $85! Man, It better look and fit good!

Wow you look gorgeous!  Congratulations on your weight loss, you look like a different woman.  I'm sure you will love your dress even more when it fits you correctly.  I would also give them a 2nd chance though the cost seems to be very inflated, so maybe shop around first for another seamstress, then you will have more power to stick to your guns because you will have a back up plan ready.

@luvmyDwight:  Yea I was so confused! I was going to leave a comment saying it didn't look too small! lol I think you will look perfect on your day. I am a small person but dresses run small and I had to order mine without trying on anything even close to what size I actually am. the store didn't measure me or anything. I had a terrible experience other than finding "the one".  So we will see on the 18th if it fits or not! (like I tried on a 12 because that's all they had and ordered a 2 because it was the only one left. I'm small but I don't know if I'm "street size 0" small! lol) BTW I don't "diet" but I do watch what I eat, drink tons of water and walk/run. They say adding sudden burst of energy into a workout will help lose weight. Like, you speed walk for 3 minues, run for 1, slow walk for 1, back to speed walking, etc. Anyone can walk, and knowing you don't have to run very long at all is always a nice thought and keeps me motivated. If you add the incline (on a treadmill) you burn a ton of callories. One of my bridemaids is getting married and has lost like 20 pounds doing it!
