Our wedding colors are purple (lapis), black and silver (pewter). I have a pretty good idea as to what types of flowers I like… calla lilies, tiger lilies, tulips, sunflowers, gerbera daisies, etc. Truthfully I’m pretty open to most flowers, but I really don’t want roses or carnations. I know I want a color bouquet for myself but no idea about my bridesmaids.
I’ve looked at ideas and come across some I like, but nothing I love. I think part of the trouble is that I can see myself carrying gerbera daisies just as easily as calla lilies.
Also, I kind of like the idea of having some orange in the bouquet. That wasn’t what I first envisioned (a Halloween colored wedding haha). I also kinda like the orange idea because it was my brother’s fav color and its a way to kind of have him there.
Anyway, what do you all think of the color combination? Also, if anyone has pics of purple and orange bouquets, please share?

I think if you have a great florist they totally will be able to make those color combos work! I gave my florist a lot of free reign over our flowers and he did great! I made sure to give him lots of pictures (my dress, BM dresses, GM suits, etc) and the feel of our reception. He was also very familiar with both our church and the reception site.

Before I met with my florist I went onto The Knot and looked at all of their bouquet photos. I found a few that I really liked and printed them. The florist was able to tell me what the different flowers were and what was in season for my wedding. We sort of made a mix of the bouquets I liked.

Black and silver I think are difficult to find for flowers…I do know of ‘chocolate’ lilies, they actually look like a deep purple. How about pairing them with an orange lily for the bouquet? The colours are very deep so keeping the same flower might keep it from getting too busy?

Also, you’ve probably already seen this one, but since you mentioned that tulips were a flower you liked here’s a bouquet with orange and purple tulips (maybe try different greenery for a different feel?)
