These are some great tid-bits, but if I may I just wanted to chime in that the Amora treatment is really recommended for any stone over 1ct or 6.5mm. This might be a very huge factor in why you didn’t really see any difference. Usually anything over 6.5mm is when you’ll definitely see the difference. Just a FYI 😉 Either way CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You will make your Fiance to BEE very happy!!

Why not exchange the loose amora before having it set?
I’ve heard that some are warmer toned than others. Agreed the occasionally their quality control could be a bit off.
But I’ve seen many amoras and some of them just aren’t as white as I’d expect.

One of my jeweler friends has a 1ct unenhanced moissy in a RHR and we’ve compared to my amora 1.25ct. Mine is visably whiter.

FWIW- I’ve heard that if you are color sensitive, and Asha may be a better option for you, at least until the Amora Gem is available for purchase.

Either way — congrats on your upcoming engagement!

Thanks for the info! It’s neat to hear your perspective since we didn’t get the opportunity to see Amora vs regular when we were deciding.

I have an Amora 1 carat and it is REALLY white most of the time, but some lights definitely affect it. There seems to be definite differences between the side by sides I have seen of enhanced and unenhanced pics online too. I looked around A LOT when we were shopping. I wish I knew someone IRL with a regular moissy so I could see them next to each other in person!
