I love that dress! Yes, it is very poofy but I think it is fabulous! What is your venue like? I really like the bodice and the beading. Beautiful!

I don't think it's to poofy but I think it all depends on the setting of your wedding.  The dress is beautiful.  Love the beading on the sweetheart neckline and I really like how it's designed to make the tummy area narrower.

i love it...especially the poof...and i'm a girl who didn't want ANY poof! i ended up with maggie's "fiorella"...it also has poof...it's the dress i never would have expected to love, yet love doesn't even begin to cover how i feel about it! have you found it to try on?

Love it!  I really think it's beautiful.  As long as you're not a teeny tiny tiny petite, I don't think the pouf is problematic!

@chachacha - We are still deciding on our ceremony location. Our reception will take place at the Bessborough (It's the "castle" in our city..built in the 30's..I'll include a photo below) inside one of their banquet rooms. The ceremony could take place behind the "castle" in their garden area but, of course, for a huge amount of money! ahh..save that dilemma for another thread!

@bellamargot - I still haven't found it to try it on! FI and I might make a trip to LA sometime soon, so here's hoping I can find a shop down there that has it so I can at least see what it looks like on me!

oops! I forgot the photos of the venue!

The photos are of the front and back, showing a bit of the gardens in the back. Also, the river that splits our city is directly behind it..which would be absolutely beautiful for photos! (As you can tell, I really am leaning toward having our ceremony here!)

Very very very lovely!  I especially like the corset back, less pressure to go on the master cleanse just to have it fit like a glove!

My first impression of this dress is GORGEOUS! I'm usually not a fan of such a full dress but there is something about the bodice and the light and airy-ness of the skirt that works for this dress. If you like it go for it!

I was excited to see this on the site at first b/c Maggie doesn't do many poof gowns.... but the bottom of the gown does nothing for me. It just abruptly stops... needs sparkle or ruffling or just something! The bodice is right up my alley... that part is gorrrrrrgeous!

I'm kind of a sucker for wedding dresses. Period. They're all beautiful to me. (: Honestly, it's really not too poofy. (: Have y'all seen that Oleg Cassini gown that's super duper poofy? The model looks like she's 13 or something?! Surely, you know which one I'm talking about...Now THAT's poofy. hehe.

@mandalee0624 - I agree! I feel like it would be nice with a small amount of embroidering or some beading on the bottom. Wonder how much that would bring the price up... hmm..something to ponder!

@Mrs. Dee to Bee - I don't know this Oleg Cassini gown, post a picture!

It's a pretty dress, but not my style.  But if you love it, and it looks great on your body, I say go for it!  And it would definitely go with your fabulous venue!  :)

I think it's a great gown and I think it would be a beautiful compliment to that venue - they're both very fairy-princess!

I really love the gown and don't think that it is too poofy at all (unless you are really petite). It matches your venue perfectly!!!!
