Just go in there with an open mind and try not to get overwhelmed (which, having been there, I know is easier said than done). I would maybe ask what sort of tests they plan on doing (blood work, HSG, ultrasounds, etc), what your treatment options are, what the steps are (pills, injections, iui, ivf? that sort of thing). Definitely be sure to ask about the financial aspects of it - my doctors office actually has a financial coordinator in office that you talk to as part of your initial visit. Ask if they plan on doing a semen analysis on your husband.
I wrote all my questions down and took notes and we talked. My RE also gave me his email so if any came up after the fact I could email him, which was extremely helpful.
Good luck!!! Also, visit us on the infertility board if you haven't yet.
Ditto going in with an open mind. I would write down any questions you have, it is easy to get flustered and forget. Good luck to you, I hope your journey to a baby is a short and happy one :)
Yes, definitely make a list of your questions. I would ask what tests need to be done, what treatment he recommends for PCOS and definitely find out the costs of the tests, procedures, etc. Good luck to you!! Come and join us on the Infertility Thread if you want. Lots of women there are dealing with PCOS and can offer great advice and support to you! I hope your appt. goes great. :)
Thank you ladies! I cant find the Infertility thread?? help me :) I would love to join you all :)

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 6 months ago. FH and I had been trying to get pregnant for about a year before I found out that I had PCOS. Doctors put me on metformin and that didn't work (obviously
). I... We... Go to the doctor on the 12th and I'm really nervous!! Does anyone have any advice or questions I should try to remember to ask?
