We're getting married at Round Hill Pines and for an hour before the wedding we wanted to go somewhere close.. alone to take our first look photos.

Any ideas of where we can go?

I'm looking for something within 5-10 minutes of the beach. Maybe a heavily treed area with lots of evergreens?

We're planning from Dallas and won't be going out there again before the wedding.

    Thanks!!

You can take pictures right on the beach at round hill.  The woods come within...  maybe 50 feet of the water, so it's literally right there.  I went to a wedding at Round Hill last summer; I'll see if I can dig up a couple pictures to show you how close the woods actually are.

I think this one shows it pretty well.  This is where your ceremony will be set-up; you can see that it's really close to the woods.  The part of the beach that is cut off on the left side of the picture is more beach and flatter ground where the trees and rocks come down.   The reception set up is probably... 200 feet from the back of ceremony set up (I am terrible at judging distances, lol, but it's close).

Oooooh, I have another idea!  Up by the Stateline library there's a bunch of trails and walking paths.  I don't have any pictures, but that would be a beautiful place for your fist look photos!  Google "Stateline Library on Warrior Way" on google maps, and you'll see how close it is to Round Hill.

    Thank you so much!!!!

We thought about doing them at Round Hill, but we visited back in Feb and couldn't remember how dense those woods were going up that hill to to highway. I thought I remembered seeing some buildings in there too.. but I can't picture it! :(

I will definitely look into the library!!

Here is a collection of pictures. The first look location at the library is the series of forest looking pictures.
