Hi Hive!! We're thinking of doing a first look so that we have more time together just us two and more pictures of just us two. At first I didnt want to have it and thought it might ruin the walk down the aisle since he saw me already...but I asked him about it and he said its still going to be a special moment and he doesnt care either way!! What do you think hive, pros and cons? Any first look photos to share? Plus I want to capture that moment when he first sees me!

    Thanks Hive

I like the idea of the first look!

I think that the moment will be extra special being just the two of us (and of course the photog in the distance) as opposed to seeing each other in the distance with all our family and friends surrounding us. That is going to be a special moment too but I want the first look as well!

YES!!!  DO IT!  It was the best part of our wedding day.  I loved seeing his reaction and the photographers reaction.  It was so funny that both my husband's and the photog's jaw dropped!

I will never forget my husband's face when he first saw me.  It was classic.  After the first look shot we asked the photographer to leave for a few minutes and we read each other notes that we wrote to replace having public vows (We just said the vows that the Catholic church used instead during the ceremony).  It was a good time to say some meaningful things to get the day started.  I was glad we had that time alone.  The rest of the day you are pulled in all directions, so I recommend a first look if you have the time!

Here are some of our photos.  We were so happy that it was finally the wedding day and we were happy to see each other.

I like the idea of a first look.  You can get all the jitters out of the way and document your guys' reactions to seeing one another.  Also, I still think your FI will be excited when he sees you walking down the aisle.  Something about that moment still gets to people, whether they have seen you in your full wedding day look or not.

So doing it! And we're having a second shooter so no second is missed! :) I can't wait!

Also, it's GREAT for getting pictures done on time and not keeping guests waiting!
