I think it's just what you're comfortable with - I always leave my undies on!
I always leave my undies on too. It's about being comforatble plus you will have a sheet on you anyway.
As naked as you want. I usually keep my undies on because I really don't like going commando ever.
The first time I got a massage, I left my panties on, but after that I've always gone commando.
I tip about 20%.
My last massage, the lady told me some ppl take their undies off. I"m not sure why! haha! I don't get my butt rubbed on. I leave my undies on. Usually i wear some boy shorts or something that feels more like a cover up.
I usually tip around 20% for a really good one...usually around $15 or so.
If you've never had one, just really force yourself to relax. Otherwise you can spend the first 10-15 minutes trying to get used to the sensation of being more or less naked under a towel with a person rubbing you all over the place.
For my first massage, I did leave my underwear on, but now I always just get completely naked. It's whatever you're comfortable with. Every massage therapist I've seen has been totally professional and doesn't care whether you're naked or not.
I have only gotten a massage once, and like ejs said though I was not comfortable at first, hahaha. I did leave my undies on, but it was so weird to me, so I don't know if I will get one ever again, but who knows. but I agree try to relax

Hahaha, okay so I will definitely be leaving the undies on. I just didn't want to be that weird girl who left her undies on during a massage, but it seems like undies-on is the consensus. Which is probably better because I like to be somewhat clothed in situations with strangers.

I go commando. The MT told me to do whatever I was comfortable with, and that's what most will say. I like no undies because they massage this part right on the side of my upper thigh that feels sooooo good to me, and I feel like it would feel weird with panties on.

Enjoy your first massage! I had my first ever massage on our honeymoon, too, and it was Uh-mazing. I'm now addicted and totally believe they just make you feel better and more centered.
I generally wear my undies unless I am really comfortable with the masseuse. I tip 20%. Enjoy...massages are BLISS.

I have never had a massage before (I know, right?) but they are included in our resort package for our honeymoon and I am not sure how the etiquette is supposed to work. My question is: how naked are you supposed to be for a massage? No bra, I understand, but do you go for the whole shabang and remove the undies too? Just curious what most people do.
Also, how much do you normally tip after a massage?
