My mom and I met with a florist last week, and it was, hands down, the most fun of all of my wedding meetings so far (including buying my dress!).
Our consultant couldn't have been nicer, and she took my incredibly mish mosh of ideas (really, just a few photos and colors), and worked and created an entire concept around it. We got to go into their warehouse, see arrangements in process and some finished pieces for the weekend, as well as go into their walk in. She told us all about the different flowers that went with our color scheme - but the most amazing part was that she was completly able to read what I wanted, and create the entire floral design around my "Oh, I like that" and "Uh, not really" reactions I had to flowers.
She's going to work and send us a budget break down next week, and I can't wait. My favorite part wasn't even about the flowers - I went to a wedding in September, and the bride was SO disapointed and upset about how her flowers had turned out.. nothing like her requests and nothing like her trial. But at this florist, they invite the bride to come and see the flowers the day before the wedding, and you can tweak them if needed to make sure they are perfect. My mom's favorite part was that she really wanted to make sure that there were flowers in the bathrooms, and she said they would include them free of charge!
Totally heart them. Waiting to see the price breakdown and proposal and see the mock ups before I start talking up the name on the internet, so I hope you don't mind this is anonymous. But it was the first big bridal SQUEE moment, and I had to share it with everyone!
So far, what has been your hands down favorite made you smile all day part of your wedding planning?
