Welcome!! I'm glad to see that there is someone that has so much in common with me! we are both getting married around the same time. I'm getting married on may 7, 2011 and I have been with my FI since my freshman year of hs and we are going on 7 years and 2 mths. Congrats!

After months of learning great tips and advice from other bees, I am really excited to write this first post!
I guess I should take this time to introduce myself. I recently got engaged to my boyfriend of 6 years. We have been dating since my sophomore year in high school; we are currently both attending Missouri State University.
You would think that having dated for 6 years, I would have been dropping hints at what kind of ring I wanted and would have a dream of my "ideal wedding". But, nope, not me. I was completely surprised by D's proposal, was completely impressed by the ring, and was completely naive going into this whole wedding planning world.
I have spent the last three months diligently researching weddings on the interent and found that the most help came from blogs like these.
