So here it goes, my first post on weddingbee and I'm so excited! This webiste is just amazing! My fiance and I have our second appointment with the Rancho Bernardo Inn tonight to see if our dream July 23. 2010 wedding is a "go" or "no-go"! I'm excited either way, but anxious to either start the planning and madness tomorrow, or to slowly get the ball rolling. If anyone reads this who's gotten married at Ranch Bernardo Inn or around there wants to help, I could SERIOUSLY use some help! I need a good photographer, florist, DJ, cake baker etc! I can't belive I'm going to try and plan my wedding in less than for months!? Am I crazy?!!

    Hi katiebirdbee!

I am a fellow San Diego bee! Our wedding date is set for October. I have some great vendor recommendations and I also have a wonderful wedding planner! She does over 30 weddings a year. Her name is Kasey Shepard and she is with I Do Weddings. She is super calm, sweet, and I think her prices are very reasonable.

PM if you need any other recommendations! VG Bakery in Cardiff is a great place for wedding cakes. Also, the RB Inn may have some great all-inclusive packages with food, cake, linens, etc.

I'd really love to talk to someone who's gotten married at Rancho Bernardo Inn...it might be a late July wedding and you know what that means HOT HOT HOT!

Do I think you are crazy?  A little.  But if you want to pull off a wedding in 4 months I say all the power to you!

If you are decisive and not too stuck on one idea, yes, you can do it.

My wedding date is a week before what you have chosen, and I only secured my vendors in the last few weeks. That will be the hardest part, get on it stat.

Then move to invites. They take FOREVER. April is the month of invites for me, and I have so much work ahead.

You should also find a dress this month.

After that, worry about things like hair, shoes, makeup, etc., MUCH closer to the wedding. I'm always surprised by how early people do this.

    Good luck!

    Warmly welcome!

I think you can pull of a wedding in 4 months, but you definitely need to be ready to put in the time (and stress) to make it happen - and make sure you've got a willing group on hand ready to help, because you'll need it!

You can totally do it!  I think monitajb has some great suggestions about prioritizing the mountain of to-dos!  Good luck and when it starts to get to you, just remember, you'll be done in four months, and then you'll be married!

You can definitely plan one in 4 months.  I have a 6 month engagement and by 3 months had almost everything done and now I'm bored waiting for The Day. Just get the venues booked and you dress ordered asap and you're off to a good start!
