Hi Everyone –
As you can tell by my title, I have no clue what to expect. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant and it has happened, very early stages and I haven’t a clue as to what to do, expect. I’ve read a ton of books and I feel like my brain is melting from all this information. I keep getting different forms of information from my friends, parents, family members and it’s just all so confusing!
I’m 25, I have had experience with children before, just not my own! (of course) I have so many questions that I feel books and internet can’t answer or give me a definitive answer to help me feel less anxious and I know feeling anxious/stressed during this time is a big no no.
So, any bee’s out there who have had children, could you help me feel at ease?
My first question is, can I work out? Especially in these early stages? I work out 7 days a week, (but I don’t work out super hardcore where I’m jumping around like a jumping bean) however, my trainer does have me do jumping jacks a lot, will that shake baby loose? I’m sorry if these are realllllly stupid questions, I’m just a newbie… Any info helps.

you can still workout so dont worry about that! When i was pregnant it really helped to reach out to a parenting community. You should try a site like babycenter.com there are a lot of helpful moms on there and you can even join a birth board which will include other women that are due the same month as you so you guys can compare symptoms and concerns. Relax though most of it comes naturally. Relax as much as you can, read up on all you can but dont stress because it will all come to you when baby is born

I clearly remember when my B and SIL were expecting their first, my B was worried about whether he would be a good Dad or not. He turned out to be, and still is a great father anyone would be proud of. Please just take it one day at a time and enjoy your pregnancy. Never be too proud or afraid of asking for advice or help! You will be fine. 🙂 I know that’s hard to believe right now, but you really will be OK. Best wishes with your pregnancy!

You should join your birth month on the bee! As a first timer with no friends who have children and my family far away it’s been so great to have this community.
In regards to working out I have an acquaintance who is 38 weeks pregnant who had practiced kick boxing her whole pregnancy. You’re body is already used to it so you should be fine.
And I’m sure you’ll be a great parent the fact you’re already concerned about it shows that. Children don’t need perfect parents which is great cause their aren’t any they need parents who love them and care and you’re already there.
Congratulations on your pregnancy

Definitely keep exercising (but let you’re trainer know you’re pregnant). I definitely get first baby panic, too! I once left the grocery store, and was in TEARS when I got to my car because I was CONVINCED I was going to be a bad Mom!
The baby boards here are AMAZING–but watch out for the first trimester boards on some other sites. They get very depressing and they’re just going to freak you out!
