You'll be ok! I hate having my blood drawn, so I recommend not looking while they do it, because they do take a little bit. Good luck and let us know how it all goes!

Good luck! My tips for having blood drawn are to look away and talk to someone when it is going on. Also, don't let them do a countdown or anything because it makes it worse. I used to be really scared of them "taking my blood" but when I do these things it is no big deal at all.
If you are nervous be sure to let your nurse know. I have had to have blood taken a lot and usually the nurses will be extra kind when they know you are scared. You can ask them to use a butterfly needle too, which is thinner so it hurts less.
I am scared of having blood drawn as well. So last week when I went for some bloodwork, i just looked away and it was a tiny little pinch. It was over in 30 seconds. I think the anticipation of it was worse than the actual event.
GIrl you've never had blood drawn!??! WOW! That's amazing. Well, fear not---the hype is much worse than the pinch. Just close your eyes and breathe! GOODLUCK
I was suprised that it went well I just felt the little pinch and nothing else really. She did take a lot though but it was worth it cuz I got to hear the babies heartbeat today with the doppler! We get to have an ultrasound next week I cant wait!

I am nervous and excited for my first prenatal visit. I'm about 12 1/2 wks along now and I think the thing I'm most nervous about is getting my blood taken. I've never had my blood taken before and I heard they take a lot so I'm really nervous about that. I just hope I dont pass out.
