I’m confused…you haven’t had your period since January?  If so, I’m not certain what doctors can do to get you to start.  I’m pretty regular (26-28 days) and I’ve been on both but never had a pregnancy.

i’m not an expert, but based on my experiences this seems like an odd chcoice for you. usually an RE would want you to start a cycle if it’s been so long, so they could do  bloodwork to test hormone levels, a baseline ultrasound and possibly an HSG. as far as i know, taking Clomid isn’t guaranteed to make you have a cycle as some women don’t respond to it and may not ovulate. at this point, he should be focusing on why you haven’t had a period since January. the Clomid and other treatments should come later. if you’re having questions, call your RE or nurse and ask. you deserve to feel 100% comfortable with whatever treatment plan is presented for you. hang in there!

ok, that protocol seems to be pretty typical to me. i was thinking he was going to give you Clomid before knowing anything! my bad 🙂 good luck to you!
