Fiance and I are dancing to “Differences” by Ginuwine. We both are HUGE fans of Ginuwine so it wasnt hard for us to pick a first dance song at all. Maybe your song could start out slow and traditional and then have the DJ interrupt the song after the first minute and play a different upbeat song (or a couple of them!). It would be a nice surprise for the guests:

I am in the same boat. I have no clue what songs I am walking down the isle to or our first dance.

It took me SO long to find a song that was just right for us. I had songs picked in the past but go figure, friends’ and family used them at their own weddings since then..lol

We finally agreed on “When you got a good thing” by Lady Antebellum

“Everlasting Light’ by The Black Keys is going to be our first dance song. Its upbeat, our favourite band,  not ‘typical’ and the lyrics are beautiful!

We’re dancing to ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ by Morcambe and Wise.

I introduced my bloke to them when we first started going out, and we always take time when we’re feeling rubbish to watch a couple of episodes. I also sing the song at him when he’s had a bad day, and it always makes him smile.

It’s a really ‘us’ song.
