Of the two, 1 looks better by leaps and bounds. Two makes you look heavier than you are. I’ll stick to what I said in the other post, though. This shape does not flatter you. You should keep looking and expand your options and you’ll find a dress that flatters you. I’m 5’8″ and quite muscular (with some cozy layers of fat over that) and for me, a trumpet dress ended up being the ticket even though I was adamently against anything fitted in the skirt when I first started looking.

@Missprincessmegs:  both dresses are beautiful but they both cut you off in the same place.  i had this problem when looking for a dress.  my widest point is at my hips so i didn’t want to accent that?  once i tried on a dress that didn’t have that break, i was amazed how good i looked.

i would suggest you try on other styles of dresses that include assymetrical lines and ruching.

    something like…

Both look a little loose on you so I think it’s a bit hard to get what it’s true fit would be. I think 2 would look very nice if it was fitted properly.

I’m not a fan of either one, to be honest. Sorry!

@Missprincessmegs:  Okay, so I posted on your other one, but really what you need to answer for yourself is what are you looking for?

Do you want to bring drama? Do you want to be elegant? There are so many dresses that are going to look STUNNING on you, however it’s the feeling you want to chase.

For me, that feeling was being the best ‘me’. What that came down to was feeling like I was the most natural, beautiful version of me. My dress makes me feel like I could go down the aisle with no makeup, no jewelry, and still glow. You probably won’t feel this way when you first try it on, I didn’t. When I tried on my dress I felt nervous. That nervousness turned from general anxiety of trying on another dress to the giddy nervousness that accompanies realizing you are actually doing this. (Getting married to wonderful man, gonna be happy, etc.) The more I looked at the dress the more I felt like I was ready to walk down the aisle.

Of course, feelings come in all different flavors, so don’t expect to know right away. Sometimes it has to grow on you.

I agree with other PPs that the way the waist just cuts across is not flattering (Personally, I don’t think that that type of style works for any body type). The draping of the pictures provided above would probably work better.

i think you look great in #1, amazing. But, honestly, I dont like that type of dress. but, your figure looks great in it. if YOU like the dress then get it, because it looks good on you.

Can I just say, I read your last post – you have an AMAZING figure!!

I hate that all the model pics are of 6′ skinnies!! I think some curves makes a wedding dress 🙂

And my fave is no 2.

Im not a skinny and Ive also picked a dropped waist ball gown – I dont think you need asymetric, it will look amazing when its fitted xxx

I’d like 1 best once it is fitted to your body. both look loose.  a belt would definite your beautiful waistline, too. i don’t think the drop waist is the BEST suited to your shape. you’re not showing off your curves. however they are both beautiful and beautiful on you. the bottom of #1 is awesome.

I think you are beautiful and so are the dresses, but I’m in the ‘keep looking’ camp.  I think you’d look best in something with a natural waist, as some PPs have said.  Also, you probably have 6+ months to keep looking, if you really aren’t in absolute love with something!
