Hey bees! Went dress shopping with my fiances’ s sister…just to get an idea. I felt fat in almost every dress I tried. This isn’t easy! But snapped two pics of the only ones I liked. However the second dress really isn’t me. Thoughts?? keep in mind these weren’t my correct sizes…the lace dress was too big.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about you look good in all of them! I think your body looks best in dress #2.

@Crabcakes1027: I voted to keep looking. Maybe it’s just the pictures you posted but seems like you’re look at all the same shapes… And I think there’s a better sillouette out there for you! I so would have loved to rock a fit and flare or mermaid shape, but I ended up with an A-Line. Overwhelming votes from my people that that was way more flattering for me than fitted over the hips!

I said keep looking, but I think you look beautiful in all of those dresses! It just doesn’t seem like you love any of them, and that’s totally OK! You’re allowed to go dress shopping multiple times. : ) FWIW, I think trying styles similar to the second dress would be great for you! I really love the sparkly straps, I think it’s super flattering!

Fat?!? You look really slim in the first two dresses. The last one looks like they have done a bad job of clipping it making it too tight across the middle and too loose at the top.
I do think you can do better. I think you were on the right lines with the second dress. The ruching is very flattering on you. My first impression was of old hollywood. I don’t care for the the rhinstone top and thick straps though. They kind of look like there were transplated from a different dress.
I would also try on some other silhouettes though. You might be suprised what suits you.

@Crabcakes1027: There are nice qualities in each dress, but I voted to keep looking. I think you have a good start but perhaps not the one yet. On your body, I really like the satin of the second dress combined with the sheer sparkly straps. I prefer the color of dress #2 also.

If you don’t love any of these, keep looking. Try on some different silhouettes and fabric types. Try on some things you wouldn’t normally like… You might be surprised by what you end up loving! You’ll know the dress when you find it because it will put a smile on your face and you won’t want to take it off.

I love #1! I think it’s stunning.

After my first trip, I went online, decided what I liked, then found shops that carried them to try on. You are not fat! Dress # 2 is just (IMO) ugly. Certain brands/style look good on different body types.

I dont love those silhouettes on you because my eyes automatically look at one area. I think a different shape would look better. I would love to see more pictures once you try on others!
