I have never waxed “down there” before, but I want to get a brazilian wax before my wedding/honeymoon. I am about 7 weeks out and do not know if it would be better to do a trial run first and then a second time a few days before the wedding? Any experienced waxers have advice on when to go in for my first and second wax if I do 2 before the wedding? Or should I just wait and go in for my first time the few days before? I just want to make sure there will definitely be enough growth before I go in right before the wedding because that is clearly the more important time to be smooth down there =)
Any suggestions are great! Thanks!

I would DEFINITELY recommend a trial run, especially if you have sensitive skin. How do you normally react to other waxing?
I’ve always been pretty sensitive to it – even my eyebrow area will be red for, like, a day after waxing, lol. But for whatever reason, I decided to get my first Brazilian right before a trip to visit now-FI (we’ve been long distance for almost 4 years and at the time didn’t see each other often) – that was a BAD decision! Haha! My skin was VERY freaked out! There’s no way to really know how your skin will react without doing a trial run.
That being said, if your wedding is 7 weeks out, I would do your trial run, like, now. Or at least in the next week or 2, so that you’ll have time for enough regrowth to wax before the wedding if all goes well.
As for the 2nd wax, depending on how your skin reacted the first time, I’d probably recommend at least 2 or 3 days before the wedding/honeymoon for all redness and scary bumps to subside. By The Way – witch hazel and Bikini Zone cream are your friends in the post-wax healing process. 🙂
PS – also consider a couple of Advil and a glass of wine before your wax 😉

Yes, that would be a great idea for two reasons:
I wax all summer and I love my results. But it does take 2-3 waxes to get through your hair cycles (not all your hair grows at the same rate) so your grow back will be less after the 2nd or 3rd time you do it.
My best friend waxed for the first time before a romantic trip to Hawaii with her husband, she did not have a good after experience. She stayed swollen for several days and ended up with a lot of ingrown hairs. (Even though she had a very well reputed esthetician.)
I think the first time you do anything like that shouldn’t be right before something where it HAS to go well.
But let me stress, a brazilian is the BEST, I dont’ want to scare you off most people don’t have the reaction she did.
