@peacockchris:  There is a TTC board (under “Nesting”) where I’m sure you’ll find tons of support.

Have you already read “Taking Charge of Your Fertility”? If not, the first thing to do is score a copy of that. It’s hugely informative.

If you’re coming up on your period, it makes perfect sense that your fluid is creamy and lotion-like. You are not in a fertile phase right now. A couple of weeks after your period, you will probably start to notice it get slipperier, like egg whites. That’s fertile fluid.

Are you going to chart your temperatures? That will help too, and there are sample charts in the back of the TCOYF book that you can use. It takes a while to get into the swing of charting, but it’s worth it.

Welcome back to the hive!! The TTC is a great place to get support and knowlege! One thread you should check out is this one: boards.weddingbee.com/topic/what-to-expect-ttc. It touches on a lot of the basics of TTC and it also will break down a lot fo the abbreviations!

As for you question, this is another great thread to check out: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/a-little-something-for-all-the-ttc-ladies-to-help-with-cm-identification. It labels the different kinds of CM and even has some pictures to further help with identifying it!

Best of luck you in your TTC journey! If you have anymore questions feel free to PM me!
