It depends on the ability of you and your FI to pull it together quickly. It can always be short like 90 seconds even. Go to youtube and copy someone elses dance to save time. Of course, I can spend hours watching first dance on youtube, so it wouldn't actually save me any time.

Could you take lessons? I am pretty sure the dance instructor I know said that it takes 5 dance lessons to get the dance down. Sure you have time!
We still have not decided what we will do. I'm sure it will be something traditional, but I like the idea of in the middle, breaking into something cool!

I love the idea of having a more upbeat first dance song. It might make yall less nervous too since you can concentrate on the steps and not all the eyes on you. I have seen the wedding party also dance with the bride and group. Its even cuter but it would take even longer to learn. With only 2 weeks until the wedding, it would probably be easier for yall to learn it alone.

its a big surprise
we are doing at last by etta james
then after one minute we'll be doing a quirky dance to the Miserlou pulp fiction sound track complete with the mash potato, the classic 60's dance where you make your fingers into a Vee and moving it across your eyes, hard to describe, some twirls and a dip; synchronized movements and he pretends to be a bull with my skirt (he thinks the bull part is silly-but I'm also doing things he wants to)
we got ideas from youtube
then back to the etta james song
we choreographed it on our own in one night--we used simple steps so we dont forget
