We all need a kick up the bum sometimes when we feel hard done by.

@HappySky7:  Whats a joke?

@OnceUponATime:  We all get so caught up in materialistic things(whether we want to admit it or not). Makes you appreciate what you have just a little more =)

@SupermansSweetheart:  When someone says “first world problems” they’re pointing out the fact that in reality, it’s a problem that a lot of the world would be grateful to have. For example, I was out registering for my bridal shower today, but we already have everything and can’t think of anything to register for. #first world problems. It’s sarcasm. They’re in fact making fun of themselves for being so privileged. The video missed the point.

@OnceUponATime:  I don’t mean to criticize you for posting something that’s been done before.  I’m pointing out others have found it interesting, but might not feel like posting about the same video again.  Your interest is shared, just your timing may have been a little off!  I thought you might have alos wanted to see some of the other posts.  I’ve also come off from another topic about how people who are no longer posting about a issue on a particular forum are apathetic about the issue which isn’t always true.

I’m guessing quite a few people have seen the video and have found it interesting!  As for the video, I agree putting things into perspective is sometimes needed 🙂

@HappySky7:  Yes exactly! I agree with Sailor Mars. The joke is that it isn’t a problem at all. When I say something like, “I hate that my closet is so full and it’s hard to find anything. First world problems” I’m saying that it isn’t a problem at all. Many people would be happy to have such a jam packed closet of stuff.

@OnceUponATime:  Sorry!   I reread it and it does come off a little harsh and that’s not what I meant!

I saw the video the other day and clicked it without really understanding what it was, thinking it was going to be a joke. It’s actually very touching and a little sad. It really makes you think about what actual “problems” are. But on a lighter note…

This is so true!  I’ve spent time in the townships of South Africa and it’s absolutely amazing what we take for granted!  This video actually got me a little teary thinking of the sweet friends I made while I was in SA.  Thank you for this reminder to #1 truly appreciate the things that we do have in our lives and #2 to think twice about complaining about the silly little things because there are people in this world who would trade places with us in an instant.
