Wow! That’s super cool.
Woah! That’s awesome!! I have never seen a ring like that before – I’m sure he’ll love having something so unique and beautifully designed 🙂
It looks great!
Thanks!! It’s damascus steel. It was a little more than we had planned to spend for his ring, but he scoured the internet and we looked in all the stores around here and it was the only ring he had a strong attraction to… He’s not big on jewelry or any kind so I thought it was worth it if he actually really liked it 🙂
Can’t wait for him to get home and try it on!!!
So unique! I love it!
I love it, it’s so unique!!
@lolot: oh god, I almost don’t even want to say now!! lol Well, american it was just over 500, so canadian it was just over 600 :S… It was high and we saw other damascus rings that were 200-400 range… I don’t know why this one was so much more, but it was the only one he wanted. I spent a month searching online and showing him damascus ring after ring, and he always said no – he wanted this one. And my wedding band was about 800 (it has diamonds though) so he figures fair’s fair lol. Shipping and duties notched up the price even more…
yikes… one pricey ring for a dude, considering you can get tungsten and cobalt etc for dirt cheap. But I wanted him to really love it and that’s worth the price 🙂
@lolot: oh nm! You shared pics on the board I started a month or so ago asking for photos of damascus rings!! I wondered if that was you, so I just went back and checked 🙂 His ring is beautiful too! The pattern is definitely more discernable on your hubby’s.. I wish it was a little more noticeable on ours, but still lovely!
@MrsPhilly: oh funny. I remembered that thread and wondered if it was you who started it, too! You can’t really see the pattern on his ring when he’s wearing it (which is always) unless you look closely, but I still like knowing it’s there 🙂
