If he has nice handwritting and is willing to do it, than I say FI!
My Dad has great handwriting and he did all the invites. I think it looks really personal to have handwriting.
If you want to use traditional etiquette, they would be writen by hand. I say, if the fiance has good handwriting, have him/her do it. The only problem would be whether or not he/she could get them done in time? If you need them quickly, I'd have them printed.

Hello hive,
I need some guidance. Unfortunately, we have left the invites to the last minute and can't get calligraphy (which is a blessing since we are tight on money). Thing is, do we print the invite addresses or should I have FI, who has nice handrwriting, address them? The cost of printing the envelopes is about $30, so money is not a consideration here.
Thoughts?
