If you’re trying to shrink your arms, the best advice I can give is CARDIO. Lifting some weights weights will help you build muscle, but you will not lose the fat to show all the muscle you’ve built without incorporating something into your workout that gets your heartrate up. You can’t really spot treat areas that you are trying to shrink. You just have to lose weight all over.

@AndysCraftsNmore:  Weights workouts really do work but you have to lose the ‘frosting’ (aka the fat, lol) on top of the muscle to really see your toning and a reduction in size. Good thing about weights training and building muscle though is that it increases the amount of calories that your body burns by just existing! So it’s important to include it but cardio is also necessary if you still have some fat you would like to lose. High intensity interval training is great for getting the heart rate up, burning lots of cals and improving your fitness.

@AndysCraftsNmore:  My wedding is in 8 months and I am trying to figure out which programs to do starting now before the wedding.  I have been looking more into p90x especially the 3rd one they just came out with.  It just actually came out today but I have read great reviews on it so far.  Not to mention its only 30 minutes long! I’m thinking of starting it and hopefully see great results.  Also, Andy they offer a 24/7 online support group to help you stay motivated (something you might benefit from).  If you want to research more on it here is the info for p90x3- http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x3-workout.do

I am a huge Jillian Michaels fan! I use her 30 Day Shred, Ripped in 30, 6 Week 6 Pack, and Yoga Meltdown videos, and I love them all!! We have Amazon Prime, so some of them are even streaming free.

I have seen a major change in how toned my arms and legs look! Not much luck with my abs, lol, but I’m sure there’s a sixpack hiding under there! 🙂

I think you will see some changes once you add in a new routine. Your body is used to your current routine and isn’t working as hard as before. Introduce some new workouts to make your body work harder. Aerobic exercises are still the way to go but just make sure that some upper body exercises are incorporated.

@AndysCraftsNmore:  My DH and I did P90X.  I HIGHLY recommend it!  As for your arm workouts, you should definitely be seeing results.  If you’re not, then you’re doing something wrong.  Be sure to lift the most weight you can safely.  This means you won’t be able to do as many reps, but that’s ok.  Shoot for 3 sets of 6-8 reps.  If you can do more than 8 reps in a single set, then it means you should be lifting more weight.  After each workout, stretch and eat a lot of protein within 30 minutes.  Like 20-60 grams of protein right after the finish working out.  You can work out your arms this way 2-3x a week depending on how sore you are and how quickly you recover.  Don’t work out the same muscles 2 days in a row.  Take a day or two off in between to rest and recover.  You will definitely see results if you do it this way!  I went from 170 pounds to 125.  You can definitely do this!

I have a September wedding and earlier this year my doctor put me on a medication for my MS and Fibromyalgia that made me gain 30 lbs, I am normally about 125-129 but my weight shot up to 152 🙁

Normally I am a 34D, but my cup size shot up to a 34DDD. I got off the medication pretty much right after dropped about 7 lbs, in the last week I started with caloriecount.com and just tracking my calories/excecise motivates me to eat healthy and keep moving. I lost about 4 lbs in one week and actually want to get to 110-115 for the wedding which will put me in better shape then I was when I was in my 20’s ( I am 5’3 and 30 years old)
