This is my upgrade, there’s no special reason why other than I wanted to and my husband agreed. I picked it out myself and my favorite part is the double prongs giving it a hint of vintage . My new wedding band should be finished this week!

Gorgeous ring OP!

I think this is a good thread to post my emerald ring. My Mother gave it to me for my 20th birthday. I love the way the stones are set off center.

mrssloan2013:  Thank you! It means so much to me because it’s from my Mom . I don’t find a lot of threads to post it on, so I always take the opportunity! Your new solitaire is gorgeous BTW. Do you still have the halo?

NellieBelly37:  It’s beautiful! I love the color of your gorgeous garnets. And I especially love how the color of your 5-stone compliments your wedding band. Love them together!

I know I already posted this pic on your other thread (although a bit late — ha, ha), but thought I would post again, with a story attached.

This is my anniversary ring (gift from DH for our 15th anniversary) with my original wedding band. At the time we got married, we couldn’t afford the wedding band to match my ERing. I always thought I wanted a matching set. Anyhow, DH wanted me to have a ring that really stood out, so he picked this one out for me when we decided to go with an all-metal band. It’s 18K yellow gold on the underside and the sides (where the milgrain is) and white gold in the middle part (where the squares are). I’ve always loved it. I wore it for quite a long time on its own. Then … life happened … my DD happened … and I gained way too much weight. My band didn’t fit any more, and it couldn’t be resized. It sat in my jewelry box for quite a few years. In the past several months, I lost enough weight to be able to wear it again. And, then, lost a bit more so that it’s now a bit loose on my finger. I love wearing it again, and actually really like it with my anniversary / “upgrade” ring.

And … one more picture … Because this is the 5-stone band my DH gave me for our 16th anniversary this year. (Sadly, it doesn’t have as much of a sentimental story to go with it — ha, ha)

Bridey77:  LOVE your emerald ring! Such a gorgeous color of green, and I can’t even imagine how special it must be, since it came from your mom.

longtimemrs:  Your new band is gorgeous! How lucky are you to have a husband that can buy you diamonds like that every year? You are going beyond and a set and getting a collection

NellieBelly37:  Thanks so much! It’s super neat that your band has a celtic and dragon design on it. I love how you managed to incorporate the things that both you and your FI love into one ring. It’s also awesome that you guys have rings that match. DH and I have never had matching bands. I’ve always kind of wished we did. Maybe I’ll get him a second band as a gift for Christmas or something so that we could match sometimes — LOL.

Bridey77:  Ha, ha! Thanks a bunch!  I am a super lucky gal, although the 5-stone band was a bit of a fluke. I don’t think DH planned on giving jewelry for our anniversary this year, but he got an insanely great deal on it. I’ve had it for a bit, so it was a fairly early gift. Which is OK by me, as it means I got to wear it longer — ha, ha! I would LOVE to have a collection. Perhaps one day … *happy sigh*.

I think I may eventually have the diamonds in the 5-stone band reset. They are gorgeous stones, and the ring was too good of a deal to pass up. But I am a little bit leery of the way they are set. :/
