I kinda like it!
They could keep them and wave them again when you leave the reception!!! or you could use them instead of clinking forks on glasses to signal when the guests want you to kiss during the reception!
I think they sound adorable!! Have you ordered from OT before though? I used to buy a lot of stuff from them for an afterschool program I ran, and a lot of it was a lot cheaper than I expected (well, until I got used to their stuff, then I just expected junk), so they might not be as nice as you're expecting :(

Okay, I want you to be honest b/c my FI thinks this idea is silly.
FI and I are HUGE Cubs fans. We used to live in Wrigleyville and would go to a Cubs game MULTIPLE times a month (sometimes multiple times a week!) before we moved to Kansas City to be near my family.When the Cubs win a game, they raise the "W" flag, and lots of people put a 'W' flag out on their porches/balconies, etc. Well, my new last name (FIs last name) will begin with a 'W'!!!
So, I was toying with creating mini-W flags to hand out to the guests to wave when we enter the reception. Guests will be lining the sides of our venue when we enter (not sitting at tables), so I thought it would make for cute pics. I was planning to:
Buy these mini-flags from Oriental Trading and print 'W' on to iron-on transfer paper in our wedding colors! We would put them in baskets and have them handed out as guests enter the reception venue from the cocktail area....Thoughts?
