A couple friends of our’s text me today wanting to go to dinner tonight. Yay! She’s from Canada. I don’t get to see her much, so I was all excited. They bailed at 5pm. I’m so irritated. It wouldn’t be that bad, but they were the ones who suggested it. Plus he is so flakey. He says he’ll do something and then never shows up. It’s beyond annoying! I hope she doesn’t turn out to be like him too…

@missyjane77: I feel you. I have certain friends like that too. I hate it because it feels like I am the one initiating most of it, and then they flake. I don’t even hold my breath when they are the ones who initiate it, becasue 9 times out of 10 they bail. Lack of etiquette I tell you!

Yeah, I’ve gone through friends like that. I’ve moved on leaving them behind. It sucks, but eh, I have better things to do with my time.

I totally get you. We had friends who would ask us to do something, and then all of a sudden decide they didn’t feel like going out. LIKE MAKE UP YOUR MIND BEFORE YOU ASK US!!!!! grrrr. They’re also the same friends who live in another province and we’ve flown out to see them on several occasions, but we’ve also had to cancel our flights THREE times because of their poor planning. Anyway, they’re no longer together. I hate flakey friends. I’ve been known to get rid of them after a while though.
