Hi everyone! I need some advice… we just got our invitations in from the printer (they look great – yay!) and are working to DIY our direction / hotel enclosures. I am printing on cardstock using an HP Laserjet printer – white cardstock, black ink. It seems simple enough, right? Well, when I print on the cardstock, the ink is flaking off!
If I print on regular paper everything is fine, so I don’t think it’s the printer. I don’t have any options to change my settings on the printer – does anyone have any suggestions? I’m not a DIY guru, but thought for sure I’d be able to print these out!
Any help is very much appreciated!!

It could be that the paper you’re using isn’t laser compatible. Do you have access to an inkjet printer that you can try?

I second that– try an inkjet if you can.

@ ali-o – thanks for the quick response! The paper I purchased (Avery postcard templates) is specifically for a laser printer…

i would take your file, save it as a pdf, and go to fedex kinkos, staples, or office max. They will print on your cardstock for you and black/white prints are cheap. I did all my own invitations and they are such a help at those places! you’ll probably only spend about 10-20 dollars!
