Oh yes...for those of you who think it would be cute...is there any song you'd recommend?
I'm a total sucker for that kind of stuff--I think it's awesome! Pretty sure Mr. P and I are planning a surprise dance after our first/boring dance.
That is REALLY cute! Will admit before I opened this thread it sounded like a bad idea (didn't know what you had in mind) but that would be a fun, joyous suprise!
I have a choir in mind that one of my GF's belongs too. I've heard them singing (in the shopping mall...lol) and they are excellent. I wouldn't need all of them...just a small clutch who can hold a tune.
Have you seen the movie Love Actually? It sounds a little like what the best man did for the bride (kiera knightly) and groom (I forgot who) in that movie. He had a band randomly stand up from different parts of the church playing All you need is love. They did it as the recessional (when they exited).
I love it! Go for it. It would startle the crap out of me, but I would love it haha.
Lol kinda reminds me of Glee! It sounds like a pretty epic idea, and I think it would also depend on the formality of your wedding, but I think it would be cool.
I was going to say it reminds me of Love Actually. I loved that part of the movie. The groom was Chiwetel Ejiofor. He played in 2012, Salt, and some other movie I can't think of right now.
I've seen something similar on You Tube, I can't recall the song but they had trumpet players hidden in the back pews and it was great when they stood up and started playing. Great idea I think
Ooooh...I never thought of instruments....now I have something else to ponder.
I haven't seen the movie...will have to watch it! Thanks!
It sounds so fun!! I want to do it now. lol! Do it, and definitely post a video of it!
Cute idea, but I do see it totally taking the attention away from you in that moment, which I know would totally bother me as the bride. I'd do it, but at a different moment, maybe the recessional or first dance or something?
@Wonderstruck: Maybe they could stand and sing, then I could start walking halfway through the song? The novelty should have worn off by then.
Maybe I could get a bunch of people to stand with ukuleles instead of singing. Gah, I'll be thinking of this for ages.

I was walking the dogs in a beautiful location looking over the ocean today. Of course I imagined tents set up and chairs...because I'm always on the look-out for a venue...
I had it in my mind to "hide" some people in the guests from a local jazz choir, so that when it came time for me to walk down the aisle, the music would suddenly stop and they would all stand up and start singing my entrance song...
I was mulling this over in my head on the way home. Good idea? Silly idea? Has anyone done this before/thoughts?
