Weddingbee boards

So about an hour or more ago, around 9:30, 9:45 pm I left to go to Walmart.  It is right acros the street from our apartment complex.  So I  get to the end of the parking lot and start to turn on the street when I see lots of flashing lights to my right.  The road was blocked by a cop car and fire truck. I was turning left, so I didn't think much of it. Figured there was a small wreck or something as it rained and it's on a curve.  As I'm sitting at the light waiting to cross the street the fire truck comes up next to me and appears it's going back to the station.

I was at Walmart for maybe 30 minutes.  I come back and there is twice as many emergency vehicles as before. This time they aren't blocking the road but there are tons of them.  So I park my car and take my bags inside.  The emergency vehicles were infront of the fitness/pool building.  This is about two buildings down from ours, out our back door.  So I put the stuff in the apartment, lock the door and go outside to see if I can figure out what's going on (I didn't go far, just out our back door).  So at this point I can see the black outline of people walking around the fenced in pool area with flashlights.

I just peeked out again and they are definitely still there.  My SO is not home, I called him all freaked out and of course he's on his way now.

I want to know what is going on real bad!!  I'm a pessimist so first I thought maybe someone drowned or something, but who knows. (I'm not even sure if the pool has water in it right now, as it's not open or anything).

Well, I still don't know what happened :(

Shortly after I wrote this post SO came home, he drove the long way home so he could go by the scene and see if he could see anything else. 

This is what he thinks happened:
I guess there was also a large flat bed tow truck at the scene.  His guess is that there was illegal activity going on in the parking lot by the fitness center/pool (drugs involved) and that when confronted by police they may have thrown drugs over the fence into the pool area.  By the time he got home and looked out the back door he could see many more cops in the pool area with flashlight hats on (you know the miner like hats). 

A friend of mine also used to live in this complex (while this was like three or four years ago) and said that major drug dealers used to live in a building near the pool... so maybe SO is right. 

I'm going to call the office tomorrow and ask what's going on. They have to report crime information so we'll see what they tell us.
