I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a brand of sneakers.. I’m looking for something fairly low profile (that I can wear with skinny jeans, etc. I currently have a pair of all black Vans slip ons, but want a change and something that I didn’t wear in High School as I am now 24.
I don’t like Chuck Taylors and I’m looking for something either completely black or 80-100% black.

I’ve been looking at Nike, Adidas, Puma, and kangaROOS, if anyone has any experience with any of these.
Some look too similar to my old soccer cleats, and some don’t have enough cushion in the back part (between the heel and the ankle… not sure what to call it, foot spine?).

I have some pumas and they are so comfortable! They are very light too. I also have a pair of roos and those are great. I think roos are better for a wider foot than pumas (I have a wide foot lol).

Check out Puma, I almost bought a pair this weekend! They have sneakers but they also have sporting looking flats.

Saucony has some pretty low profile ones. I have a pair of the bullet style, super comfy. I also second other’s suggestion of Pumas.

I have ROO’s and love them. Puma’s are too narrow for my wide feet 🙂
@phonatic: Ha! I didn’t see your post before I responded. ROO’s are great for wide feet.

Thanks, I guess I have medium-wide feet… I’ll probably just go into the Puma outlet nearby and see if they are comfortable enough…otherwise definitely going for the ROOS~ love the pockets!

Vibram five fingers. I have 3 pairs and live in them. I work and run in them.

I really love Lacoste’s sneakers. There are a couple that I really like, Arixia, Natasia and Bedelia. They’re pricey but super comfortable.

I love Saucony – they have some very cute and comfortable sneakers. I have several pairs. I have one pair of Puma sneakers that are much less athletic shoe than it seems, and are pretty comfy. While not a lace up sneaker, I’ve had two black flats from Clarks that are also great (one pair finally bit the dust).
