Chi! I just got mine for Christmas, but a friend of mine had crazy curly hair and her Chi straightened her hair for like 5 years before it finally stopped working.

@soon2bS:  CHI !!!!!! any CHI flat iron with ceramic plates are amazing. Pricey, but worth it and pair it with an ionic low dryer and you are set!

I’ve had my FHI flat iron for a few years and I love love love it:) I think I just have the most basic model and that is amazing. I am African American/ Puerto Rican and have wavy, frizzy, thick hair that it flat irons wonderfully.

CHI! I think mine is global beauty. I’ve had it for about 4 years, still going strong!

Ghd. By far the best iron I’ve owned, and has far outlasted the chi I used to have. Worth the $$$!

Chi!! I’ve had mine for 4 years! Love it! I have hair that is about bra length down my back and I also have pretty thick but fine wavy hair. It works awesome for me!!

@soon2bS:  Definately just the regular CHI. I got my first one exactly 8 years ago. It has been amazing and it worked up till 3 years ago when I let FSIL use it and she dropped it in the floor and broke it. I ended up buying the same exact one. I love it!

@soon2bS:  I had the same problem with all the choices when I was trying to decide! I asked my hair dresser for suggestions. I have really thick hair and she recommended just the original CHI iron. This was a really long time ago, but she said something like even though it doesn’t have a temprature control switch, the temp. it gets to is suitable for all hair types. Honestly my college roomate had a really expensive CHI iron and I had to use it when I left mine at home, and it burnt my hair really bad!

It’s a bit pricier (I know they have the Chi on sale right now), but I LOVE my Sedu flat iron. I had a Chi before, and it was okay..I can see why it may be the favorite of someone with thin to average thickness hair, but my hair is super thick and it took me forever to straighten it. The Sedu takes me about 15 minutes. Heats up quick, doesn’t pull, and makes your hair crazy smooth. I wouldn’t ever get anything else again!

I’m not sure whether Ulta sells it – but I love my InfraShine. I’ve never used the others PPs are recommending – but it beats the pants off of my Babyliss…
