we live in oregon, are getting married at the end of the summer in the gorge, the gorge is going to be in fruit, so i’m thinking about getting getting some preserves made up as favors. i don’t know if this is taking on too much, or crazy, but i just got the best hot, hot salsa recipe and i’m trying to decide between and idea i read in one of these posts, putting the salsa recipe in a mason jar, or making a bunch of it. i work in the restaurant business, so i have access to a big kitchen, but then i’m wondering what the shelf life of the salsa will be and how soon before the wedding i would have to do it. then there’s the issue of making cool labels that don’t go too over the edge into the cutesy ‘sweet and spicy’ realm. what do you think, too much, maybe just for family?
oh yeah, my little sister’s awesome and is making the table assignments, we’re getting married at the view point inn in corbett, she just recently came across these old keys and she’s going to make tiles with a print of the inn and a table number and attach each to a key, we’ll place these under the names of the guests (or something like that) i’m so excited to see how they will turn out!
