My dress came in (at the store, not to my home), and I was so excited I went straight to the shop to try it on. I didn’t have an appointment, just walked in, and they were SWAMPED by a bride and 6 bridesmaids ALL trying dresses on.. but they made sure to get someone to help me try on my dress. She laced me up, and I walked out, looked in the mirror, and.. immediately noticed a flaw in the neckline…
They were soo busy though, so I didn’t bother asking about it. But I haven’t stopped thinking about it!! I need to go back (with an appointment this time!) and ask them if it can be fixed…
It just looks like a piece of the ruching wasn’t sewn down properly.. it doesn’t flow. Kind of a random jagged edge of ruching that pokes out.
I just need some reassurance that other brides have had similar flaws that turned out okay!! 🙁
Here I circled the flaw so you know what I’m talking about…
You can see it no matter what angle… 🙁
Help!! Anyone had a similar flaw in their dress?? Was it fixable??

I don’t know anything about fixing the flaw, however I would definitely make sure you don’t pay to fix it! It should either be returned or fixed free of charge in my book, just tell them asap 🙂

When you get it alterred bring it up! Or call the store now to let them know you have a concern!

@lovelove1028: Yeah, I would let the store know about this problem. But honestly? Looking at the full length photo of you, I’m too focused on how BEAUTIFUL you look in the dress to even notice! 🙂 Stunning stunning.

No worries! It looks super easy to fix. Those little pleats are usually tacked down with tiny stitches. One may have popped out? I’m sure they can easily alter the shape to your exact preference.

My dress had a similar flaw, although not in the neckline, and like you, it was all I could see. My seamstress fixed it up no problem though, and you couldn’t tell it had ever existed. It’s an easy fix.
