I have two cats and a dog. Since the dog is a new addition to the family, I’ve had to start giving the cats flea medicine (just in case…). We used advantage and while both of them were so well behaved while it was going on, we had to separate the animals while it “dried”. Otherwise they would have licked it off!
Well the girls were NOT ok with this. I slept in the living room with one of them while the other was in the bedroom with my SO and the dog. The cats cried all night trying to get open the door and finally around 5 am they got it open. It was seriously one of the cutest reunions I’ve ever seen!
Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for flea medicines that i wont have to separate them after using??? I felt SO terrible!!

@NVACat: We have four cats and when we used flea medication, no one bothered with each other. They were pretty focused on trying to lick themselves (and not being able to reach the nape of their neck) that they ignored everything around them. Plus, it dried fairly quickly.

I agree with BetterSherm. We have never seperated our two but they don’t really lick eachother anyway so I wasn’t worried about it.

Revolution absorbs in about 2 hours and also protects against heartworm and intestinal parasites so you could try that, but you’d have to get it from your veterinarian
