I am looking to set up a Flickr account so guests can have access and upload photos (like most bees have done in the past :))
Do you have to create a group for your guests to log in and up load photos? Or can they simply log into my account? (with the URL http://www.flickr.com/photos/username)
Since my Flickr login is my yahoo ID and Password, do I have to give that information to the guests?
I was playing around with Flickr for the first time this morning and cannot seem to grasp the site. Any help would be appreciated!!!
Thanks bees 🙂

We’re starting a sham flickr account, since I don’t want people having access to my regular flickr account. Just set up a new one with an easy to remember password and login!

I did this for my guests. I created a brand new yahoo and flockr account called lastname_wedding and I sent the login info to all our guests. Then I set up "sets" inside for each event – rehearsal, dinner, ceremony, reception, and honeymoon. Only about 5 guests used it but it did add several new photos to our collection so I feel it was worth it.
One thing to note – flickr and yahoo both use complicated "internet cookies" so if any of your guests already have their own flickr and yahoo accounts, their home computer may not allow them to log out of their accounts and into your wedding account. If they use a public computer (like at the library) it should be ok.

Also keep in mind that flickr has an upload limit of so many MB per month unless you pay to upgrade
