I love the idea of doing a flip flop basket for my guests, but don’t want to spend a ton of money. Has anyone done this? Where did you buy them? I’m thinking I need about 40-50, and don’t want to spend more than $1 each, TOPS!

Old Navy sells flip flops for like a dollar that are actually decent. However I personally find it very hard to properly dance in flip flops and would rather go barefoot or suffer in my shoes…

We did this. I bought 30 pairs and they were $1 each. I got them at the Dollarama. I’m in Canada. I’m not sure, if you’re in the US maybe check out the Dollar Tree?

Depending on how may you need, I’ve heard Old Navy Outlets sell them for $1 each.

Thanks everyone! The Old Navy flip flops are actually liek $3-something, even at the outlet. I think they only do the $1 flops once a year. I may need to wait for that sale, and assemble an army! lol

@KC720: Good thing your wedding is in July, so you have time to catch a sale at Old Navy. I didn’t think about this until a couple weeks ago and I know there will not be a sale for flip flops before March lol

Ok so here is my question to that, what SIZES to you get? We are having a NYE beach wedding and this would be great however I have ultra huge feet and would hate having a bunch of flip flops that no one can use. Thoughts?

We did a flip flop box and I had the actual box and the tags made by people I found on Etsy.
I purchased the flip flops at Old Navy and they were about $2.00 a piece during the sale (definitely stock up). However, if you buy them close enough to your wedding you can return those that were not used (I did!). You just put them back in the plastic casing that they shipped them in and viola, good as new.
At the wedding:
The tags were tied with pink ribbon and indicated the sizes. We ordered the following sizes and quantities:

@KC720: I’m helping my cousin with her April wedding and I just bought 60 pairs of Flip Flops from old navy. They came to 1.06 per pair. I ordered all silver and white and had to phone order through the bulk order dept. Call the customer service number on their website and they’ll give you the phone number. In both colors, here are the sizes I ordered:
7’s- 5 pairs
8’s – 10
My order came in about 3 days. Shipping was a flat rate of $12 for FedEx ground. I hope this helps! Happy planning 🙂
